Loại 1 : S+ V+ O + (not) TO INF

Các động từ dùng trong loại này là:

invite (mới), ask (hỏi), tell (kể), propose (đề nghị), urge (hối thúc), warn (cảnh báo), order (ra lệnh), beg (van xin), remind (nhắc nhở), advise (khuyên), force (buộc), encourage (khuyến khích), allow (cho phép)...

e.g: - Please wait for me. (Hãy chờ tôi!)

⇒ He asked told me to wait for him. (Anh ấy bao tôi chờ anh ấy.)

-  Would you mind opening the door? (Xin vui lòng mở cửa.)

⇒ She asked me to open the door. (Cô ấy bảo tôi mở cửa)

-  We'll visit you. (Chúng tôi sẽ thăm bạn)

⇒ She promised to visit us. (Cô ấy hứa sẽ thăm chúng tôi)

Loại 2:  S+ V + To Inf

Các động từ dùng trong loại này là:

Offer (đề nghị giúp dỡ), promise (hứa), refuse (từ chối), agree (đồng ý), threaten (đe dọa), agree (đồng ý), hope (hi vọng), volunteer (tình nguyện), expect (mong chờ)...

Lưu ý:

Khi tường thuật lại câu thi phải giảm thì, nguyên tắc giảm thì như sau:

Lấy động từ gần chủ từ nhất giảm xuống một cột.

e.g: I will go...

Động từ will gần chủ từ nhất nên lấy will giảm xuống một cột thành - > would: I would go.

Ngoài ra, thời gian cũng phải giảm xuống:

yesterday ⇒ the day before/ the previous day

now ⇒ then

to night ⇒ that night

tomorrow ⇒ the next day the following day

next week ⇒ the following week

last year ⇒ the previous year
