Dear Jack,

Thanks for your letter. I'm happy to hear that you had a nice Mother’s Day.

I received my second semester report last month. I got good grades for Geography, Physics and Math, but my history and English results were not very good. My former teacher told me that I should improve English and history. I am spending more time on them this summer. And I hope I'll be better at the two subjects next year.

The Mid-Autumn Festival will come in a few weeks. That’s the Moon Festival in Viet Nam. I'm going to Ha Long Bay with my aunt and uncle by bus this afternoon. I'll send you a postcard from there.

Write to me as soon as possible. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Cảm ơn bức thư của bạn. Mình rất vui khi biết rằng bạn đã có một Ngày của Mẹ tốt đẹp. Mình đã nhận được bảng điểm học kỳ thứ hai tháng trước. Mình đạt điểm cao về Địa lý, Vật lý và Toán, nhưng lịch sử và kết quả tiếng Anh của mình thì không được tốt lắm. Thầy giáo cũ của mình bảo tôi rằng mình nên cải thiện tiếng Anh và lịch sử. Mình đang dành nhiều thời gian hơn cho các môn đó vào mùa hè này. Và hy vọng mình sẽ có kết quả tốt hơn ở hai môn học vào năm tới.

Lễ hội Trung thu sẽ diễn ra trong vài tuần tới. Đó là Lễ hội trăng rằm ở Việt Nam. Mình sẽ đi Vịnh Hạ Long với dì và chú của mình bằng xe buýt chiều nay. Mình sẽ gửi cho bạn một tấm bưu thiếp ở đó. Viết cho mình càng sớm càng tốt. Mình rất nóng lòng chờ tin bạn.
